How We Start?
Helen, a designer who often picks popular places to experience natural beauty. Yet, her trip to the Maldives revealed the other side of paradise.
On that day, just before sunset, Helen aimed to explore and witness the untouched beauty of the island, unexpectedly ended up near a pile of accumulated garbage. Among the discarded items were mostly plastic, along with some seemingly low-quality boards, sponges, and common items. Surprisingly, many of them weren't as worn out as Helen expected.

They still had vibrant colors, indicating they could have been saved from disposal. Unfortunately, due to factors like obsolescence or damage, they ended up contributing to pollution.
This motivated Helen to advocate for the prolonged use of products. She teamed up with Abby, a fellow majored in materials science, and they two instantly clicked. They committed to creating long-lasting products that truly meet real needs. At their studio, Newitee, the focus is on genuinely understanding the essential needs of each item and reshaping them with the right materials and clever design for lasting use.
